"Make a Memory Cruise" for the Children Sunday, July 27th, 2008 Thirty patients and their families will sail in this year’s Maria Fareri flotilla. Kids will sail and learn about the water first hand. Shore activities and a bbq are planned as well. Members of American band together to cover all aspects of volunteer work to pull the day off for the kids.

6th Annual Sail4Kids Regatta and the Maria Fareri Cup September 27th-28th, 2008 American Yacht Club Fall Regatta designates one weekend of the two weekend series for recognition of performance on that weekend.

To enrich a life… This past Sunday, July 30, Chris O'Connell had Cherish The Day booked. He intended to participate in a local, grassroots annual sailing event, Sail4Kids, hosted by the American Yacht Club in Rye, NY. The event’s purpose is to “Make A Memory” for kids with significant health problems. But Chris was double-booked for the day, so it became our good fortune to stand in and represent him. READ MORE

Checking in... Record Fundraiser Held at New York Yacht Club Over 340 people attended the Golden Spinnaker Gala, a fundraising event for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Sailing teams at the New York Yacht Club’s 44th Street clubhouse on November 14. Over $200,000 was raised - the highest amount ever raised by a special event for the teams. READ MORE
